I own three pairs of Rockport casual boots, and they are extremely comfortable. So when I discovered that Rockport had a duty boot on the market, it was a no brainer to order a pair, post haste.
I found these boots to be very lightweight and comfortable, but not as comfortable as the casual boots I already owned. I've had the duty boots for about two months, and they have performed very well for me; break-in time was practically immediate. They are a true-to-size fit, which was a concern for me since I wear a size 14.
My only complaint is the zipper. When I zip them down, I still can't get my foot out of the boot without having to untie it (which defeats the purpose of having the zipper). The zipper should have been angled diagonally toward the back of the shoe, which would have allowed me to remove the boots without having to untie them. Maybe someone with a normal sized foot won't have that issue.
All in all, it's a great boot. Rockport makes a quality product, and I highly reccommend this boot.

I purchased these as a work/everyday boot. The bottoms are very hard and people can hear me walking from far around so if you are purchasing them as a duty doot and your job requires you to be "sneaky", you don't want these. They are not the most comfortable boot either. I would have returned them had I not already worn them around.
